Is it possible to geek out about a city? Of course it is, if you live in someplace like San Francisco. But what if you live somewhere else? I geek out about my hometown, Sacramento, California. I loved it, I left it, I came rushing back into its fry-an-egg on the sidewalk hot embrace. And this city I call home looms large in my personal blogosphere. Yet Uneasy Rhetoric is fundamentally a personal blog. It is uneasy because it can’t quite settle on a topic. Instead, it flits from passion to passion, touching on urban life, environmentalism, politics, language, transportation, life-work balance, and more than a little nostalgia. All with a heaping helping of Sacramento.
